Assimina Kouris was born in England, grew up in Greece and is currently a resident of the island of Andros. She studied Early Childhood Care and Education and various alternative therapies but her greatest love has always been music.
She is a musician and a singer/ songwriter with Greek, English and Spanish lyrics as well as nursery rhymes for children. She now combines her healing practices with music, offering heart opening Sound and Voice Therapy sessions, as well as her musical concerts and workshops.
Assimina is very passionate on matters of the Earth and her debut album “ΚΑΛΕΣΜΑ”(kalesma), is a calling for people to remember their roots and also a praise for nature and Mother Earth, combining the influences of her travels, music from around the world, medicine, spiritual, as well as Greek traditional music and instruments.
Her resent performances present a fusion of world music, traditional Greek songs and her own music.
She is currently working on new projects.
